So first off, uh, areas that we see a lot of accidents, uh, really starting from Gandy and fourth street and moving South.
Um, we get some accidents on fourth street and Gandy, it’s just not that, that intersection, uh, since the overpass has been put in really, uh, the number of accidents has gone down drastically. But as you head farther South at an intersection that most people are not aware that is extremely dangerous is actually at 62nd Avenue North and st and a 62nd Avenue North and fourth street. Uh, in fact, I knew I was going to shoot this video today and I was on my way to court, actually live down 62nd Avenue North. Uh, I knew I was going to shoot this video today and on the way to court this morning, I saw the remnants of a car accident. I guess a spectrum truck had, uh, run a red light and was being towed off. It was a really bad accident. So there are tons of accidents right there at six, at the intersection of 62nd Avenue, North and fourth street North.
As you had farther South, uh, not a lot going on until you get to 38th Avenue North and fourth street. Again, that’s a very busy intersection. Um, usually you don’t see high speed accidents there, but there’s a lot of rear end collisions. Also 22nd Avenue North and fourth street, North w we see a lot of, uh, again, rear rear end accidents at that intersection. And then not a whole lot more as you move downtown. I mean, uh, the traffic in and out of downtown along fourth street, uh, it’s, it’s really such a congested area. We don’t see a whole lot of high speed or serious accidents in that area. But as you get closer to downtown, we do see some pedestrian accidents and bicycle accidents, uh, right in the vicinity of like the Hollander hotel. There’s actually a salvation army right there on fourth street. So there’s a lot of pedestrian traffic in that area.
And we do see some pedestrian accidents, uh, throughout that area. So if you have been involved in a car in an accident on fourth street North, what I tell everybody is to get yourself emergency medical care if you need to go to the hospital. Most of our clients go to either Bayfront hospital or st Pete general.
