Pinellas County, FL – A fatal crash occurred on Friday, December 6, 2024, at approximately 2:45 p.m. at the intersection of 49th Street North and 58th Avenue North.
A 39-year-old Mulberry man was driving a tractor-trailer northbound on 49th Street North. At the same time, a 21-year-old Seminole man was operating a Suzuki motorcycle southbound on the same roadway.
According to authorities, the tractor-trailer driver attempted a left turn at the intersection, crossing into the motorcycle’s path. The motorcycle collided with the tractor-trailer.
The motorcyclist sustained critical injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
