Congratulations to Sean McQuaid as the President-elect of the St. Petersburg Bar Association for 2020! Sean is following the footsteps of his mentors, Anthony Battaglia and Aubrey Dicus, as the third President of the St Petersburg Bar Association to come from Battaglia, Ross, Dicus & McQuaid, P.A.
Mr. McQuaid takes over as President after serving two terms on the Executive Committee. His goals as President will be to focus on technology in the profession, improving the referral network of the Bar, improving the diversity of the membership, as well as the role of the bar in social justice reform.
Mr. McQuaid specializes in the field of personal injury law. He handles serious auto accident and premises liability cases across Florida, but primarily in the Tampa Bay region. He has been recognized by virtually every lawyer ranking organization as being the top in his profession. Mr. McQuaid also has a long history of service to the community. He served a term on the 6th Judicial Circuit Nominating Commission, was Chair of the City of St. Petersburg Nuisance Abatement Board for two years, was President of the Harbor Isle Homeowner’s Association, and served on the Executive Committee for the Suncoast Chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
He currently is President of Battaglia, Ross, Dicus & McQuaid, P.A., in St. Petersburg. He manages seven attorneys and numerous staff in that role. He looks forward to serving the community and the Bar Association from 2020-21.
The St. Petersburg Bar Association currently has over 1,200 members. Membership includes lawyers, judges, students and affiliate members who have a relationship with the legal profession. They are a voluntary bar association which has served the St. Petersburg legal community since 1925.
